Most people don't understand that there's a margin of error that is just too great to compare rates that are within .25% or so of each other; and that's if the broker/lender has ALL of your information. I don't advocate homeowners ignore rate entirely, but ultimately, you hurt yourself when you shop like crazy and having brokers/lenders battle it out trying to beat each other by 1/8%.
